Since October 14th, 2008, Guido and Samy ODIN, the good known fervents of the Doll, present in their  " Musée de la Poupée-Paris " an exceptional exhibition of their most beautiful dolls, going of 1800 to our days.

As well as we make it regularly, we went to photograph it Naturally, you will find on our website numerous photos showing the magnificent dolls of this museum-friend. But we made it much more than our server, considering the weight of Poupendol, cannot lodge.

And then, it is also necessary to allow to you the happiness of the discovery.
It is a rare exhibition, of an extraordinary wealth as we do not often see it. The set is simply touching of beauty and we think that all those who will can have to come there because we shall not see again it  as soon as of so important and beautiful.

These wonders in decors always very studied by  Guido Odin are one happiness for eyes, a real emotion. do you know that we have a lot of luck in Paris to have a such  Museum of which you should not forget that it is private, wwithout subvention of nobody that means and implies an enormous work to amaze the knowledgeables and call them in this magic place.

The delicious taste of our two friends, their science also, very sharp, never faulty, deserve our gratitude for the unspeakable moments of enjoyment which they get us.

Thank you Guido, Thank you Samy, and one thousand. Bravo for this so beautiful success.

To begin here wooden-dolls of the lst and 2nd Empire.

We notice, sitted in the armchair, a Grödner Tal. She is the oldest doll of the Museum

Papier-mache  was also used, such this cymbalist by Théroude (1850).
Behind him, a doll with German head, painted features, semi-articulated body in skin . Dress circa 1850.

See these elegant young ladies :

on the left a Huret,

at the bottom close to the staircase, a Casimir Bru, in celluloid.

Then two Jumeau :
The Amazon (dressed by Mathilde Heritier). The  doll on right  is former to 1872, ( head by Barrois or Gaultier,  Pierre-François Jumeau not having yet a furnace).

Babies of the XIXème Century:

This small Gaultier is very proud of her striped dress
A Bru thanks Guido for having cut out her nice dress.

Three Jumeau did not forget their straw hat.

A  Kestner (1880 dressed by Guido Odin) cherishes her dog.

Two Steiner, of which one of color, complete the scene.

Pllace des Victoires
Encounter of a  Rabery Delfieu, (her head may be a Gaultier mould) proud of her garnet-red dress to like  her friend Delcroix with a tricorn.

The piano lesson:

A  Jumeau plays a waltz for a Steiner ( in the center)  with a dress of  fault black and green-water silk (circa 1860).

In the center and elevated, the  fortune teller engraved F 3 G, dates from the years 1870.

On the left with a mourning veil, a rare doll of the Firm Victor Clement

In this group we notice, sitted on the left, a Loriegraph. (as from 1893). Size 11 of Jumeau

With a red dress, Bébé Emile Jumeau size 11 of which the make-up more contrasted makes  possible to date it from second half of the years 1880

Below, in the center of the image on the left,  a Falk et Roussel (circa 1880).
On her left  a Halopeau.
In the image of right side, with a red dress, the most former Jumeau of the Museum, model Baby called “portrait” dating from the years 1870. Opposite her, at the bottom, the largest   " Bébé Jumeau triste " (sad Jumeau Baby) : 78 cm.

Among these Asian  dolls  (Simon & Halbig, Armand Marseilles and Steiner) notice with a yellow Kimono this Bru (between 1883 and 1889) Chevrot time.

One of the preferred scenes of the young visitors of the Museum.

The dunce's cap is worn by a “ Boudeur " (sulky boy) of the S.F.B.J. Size 4  circa 1920.

And let us not forget the paper dolls. The matter is perhaps “less noble” than the poured bisque or the wax but the drawings are generally very fresh, very pretty. Often the little girl was to deserve her doll by cutting out her  in a board where doll and outfit appeared. Below on the left, a window of these dolls created by Guido Odin.

All which precedes is only a weak outline of the wonders exposed   in the Museum, or reproduced and commented in the book brought out at the same time as the exhibition.
Poupendol deeply recommends you to go to see this wonderful show if possible and to acquire the book which is sold only to the Museum. ( All informations in the chapters "Lire". and " Nos liens préférés " of Poupendol)
