device situated at the back of her body .This is definately not a doll edited by G-Languereau even if it is very tempting to call hers "Bleuette-Mystery " .Originally, this head was probably acquired with no eyes, then equipped of this specific mecanism from Charles Le Bos d'Espinoy, her inventor. When ?.
His patent was registered in 1923 and commercialized this doll under the name of "Poupee-Mystere" Yet, could she have been taken for a "Bleuette" ? This is not impossible since this doll was for instance in great demand, in small shops, for exemple. To avoid this kind of disloyal confusions, the brand 'Bleuette' was at last registrated in 1933, but in 1933 only, therefore belatedly (Becassine was registrated since 1918 for similar reasons). To make a long story short : this doll's dimension -29 cm- no not correspond to Bleuette's, equipped with the same kind of mold but measuring in this case 27 cm ; this type of mecanism has never been found on Gautier-Languereau's who edited a true sleeping doll ( really jointed mecanism/ with eyelashes) since 1919.

This is not a "Bleuette" yet a handsome child that we'd love to have, for sure !
I'd like to thank a great couple of French collectors to had given us the pleasure to share their curiosity and also Mrs. Porot who had contributed to this cautious study that linked to suppressing the ambiguity.
